organisation profile

The School of Biological Sciences comprises three main research groups: Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Biomolecular Processes and The Institute of Agri-Food and Land Use. In addition, the School houses The Gibson Institute. Hence, the education and research programmes supported by the School, are among the most diverse in the University, although the emphasis is on the biosciences from the molecular to the ecosystem.

The Marine Station at Portoferry is a part of the School.
