- The National Meteorology Direction (DMN) is located in front of Hay Hassani
Ain Chock Prefecture at the Anfa Airport at Casablanca. The missions are :
1- Insure the information and assistance in the meteorological domain
2- Develop the research especially in the climate field
3- Participate to the elaboartion and the excecution of international agreement
in the meterological domain and related activity.
Regions which are actually created are :
1- Central Region (based in Casablanca)
2- Southern Region (based in Agadir)
3- North Eastern Region (based in Fes).
Among these regions, there are 43 stations under full control of DMN and which
insure continuous weather observations. In addition some of them has special
vocations : Aerology, maritime, hydrology, agrometeorology, pollution
radiometry.
