- The research domain of the ELECTA division covers the broad spectrum of electric energy systems as well as robust, fault-tolerant control of the industrial electric systems. ELECTA will continue growing into a worldwide recognized centre-of-excellence, where fundamental research is coupled with immediately and prospectively applicable solutions for the industry. Alongside this development of know-how, we give a pivotal importance to sharing gained knowledge with the academic community, students, industry and the society as a whole. In this respect, research is conducted on the production of electricity from wind energy, with special attention to the electrical aspects of 'off-shore' wind energy off the Belgian coast.
