The School of Earth, Ocean and Environmental Sciences (SEOES) was formed in August 2003 by combining the School of Environmental Sciences with Geological Sciences and Marine Science from the Institute of Marine Studies. The School integrates, at undergraduate level, the subject areas of Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Geosciences, Marine Sciences, Marine Sports Science and Marine Studies.
With 85 academic & technical staff, about 50 research staff and 1100 undergraduate students, the School is one of the largest academic institutions in environmental and marine sciences in Europe.
