- Laboratory of Physical Geography belongs to the Geology Department of the University of Athens. It operates as an educational laboratory covering the fields of physical geography, descriptive oceanography and marine pollution, geomorphology, climatology and remote sensing. Special emphasis is given on geology of Tertiary deposits and coastal geomorphology. Several students have their undergraduate courses in all the above topics. LPG/UATH also supports Ph.D. courses on oceanography, geomorphology and climatology. It cooperates with other Greek and European Universities and research centres. LPG/UATH edits scientific books and notes for students.
