- The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences keeps and preserves the National Natural History collections. The collections are kept in large store-rooms, especially adapted for preserving wet as well as dry collections. Parts of the collections have a computerized inventory. The collections are accessible to researchers from all over the world and can be consulted and/or studied in the store-rooms or in well-equipped laboratories during a visit to the Institute. Smaller parts of the collections can be sent or given on loan. Exchange material is also available.
