: The Institute of Marine Research (IMAR) is a network comprising twelve Portuguese Institutions carrying out research and teaching on Marine Science and Technology. IMAR includes: The University of Oporto (Biomedical Institute 'Abel Salazar' and the Institute of Zoology 'Dr. Augusto Nobre'), the University of Coimbra (Faculty of Sciences and Technology), the University of Lisbon (Guia Marine Laboratory), the Technical University of Lisbon (Technical Institute), the Institute of Applied Psychology, the New University of Lisbon (Faculty of Science and Technology), the University of Evora, the University of Algarve, the University of Az ores, the Museum of Funchal and the Natural Park of Berlengas islands.
