- The
tasks of the State Maritime Hydrographic Service and the navigational
marking in the field of hydrography and naval cartography shall be
performed by the Naval Hydrographic Bureau. In
implementing this Act, the Ministry of National Defence, in July 1995,
reorganized the structures of the MW Hydrographic Service - the Naval
Hydrographic Bureau was created, separated from the structures of the MW
Staff, subordinated to the deputy commander of MW of the Republic of
Poland - commander of the Maritime Operations Center.
Currently, BHMW is subordinated to the Commander-General of the Armed Forces.
