organisation profile
Scalpro AS is the only commercial hatchery in Norway, located near Bergen in Hordaland county. At the hatchery, brood-stock collected from populations in Hordaland and Trøndelag, are used in order to supply local stock for the main seeding areas. Due to different reproductive cycles of scallops from these areas, stock-specific conditioning regimes have been established.
