Main objective of the Union is the scientific and cultural-enlightenment affairs, and to achieve the development of the various fields by combining the entities and organizations interested in the propaganda of the culture and geographical knowledge, geographical education, development of the economy by taking account the demographic and national characters, of the integrity of the nature and society - of the geographical affairs in its own lines.
Union are solving the following problems in order to reach achievement:
• To assist in the development of the geography, relating field, application of the research results, propaganda of the achievements and development of science of geography;
• To have public initiative in studying, evaluation and forecasting, use and protection of the position of the natural resources, conducting research works, and studying of the nature and social rules;
• To assist in the studying of the local history, geography and culture, ethnography toutism, toponymy among the large population, organization of the researches and travels
