- The activities of CEFREM, Research and Formation Center on the Marine Environment of the University of Perpignan, are registered under the generic title "Sources, transfers and evolution of matter and elements, exchanges between the various compartments of the planet Earth : atmosphere, continent, biosphere, ocean and sediment ".
Its activity is organized more precisely around three axes: biogeochemical flows and exchanges, in particular of carbon, between these compartments; variability, on various time scales, of
the system subjected to natural and anthropic forcings, in particular the impact of the events and fast changes of the environment; formation of the sediments and sedimentary bodies (scale from century to millenia).
