- The Israel Marine Data Center (ISRAMAR) was established in December 2000 by Israel Oceanographic and Limnological Research. The mission of ISRAMAR is to acquire, archive and analyze oceanographic and ecological data and make it widely available. ISRAMAR has already completed comprehensive database of all oceanographic data collected by Israeli ships and all international data compiled in framework of MEDATLAS I project. A major emphasis of ISRAMAR is to transform vast amounts of available data into useful information by developing databases and user - friendly interfaces including the data analysis via the internet.
